Question
How to use LGL Edge on Apple iPad

Answer

LGL Edge can be used on the Apple iOS Platform on both the Apple iPhone & the Apple iPad.

Requirements:
-Use only Safari and not Chrome.
-Download the "Learning Upgrade" app.

LGL Edge works a little differently on the iPad because an app is require to run the program. To start LGL Edge lessons, students will log into their LGL accounts through Safari. When a student clicks on the unlocked Edge lesson, it opens the Learning Upgrade app to play the lesson. Once the student completes or exits the lesson, the score or time usage is then pushed back into the Let's Go Learn website.  This process repeats when the student clicks on another lesson.

How to Get Started:
Go to the app store.
Search for "Learning Upgrade." Click on “GET” or the cloud with a blue arrow to install the application. Requires 142 megabytes of free space.

How to Log in and Begin Lesson:
Use Safari to log into your Let'sGoLearn account.
(DO NOT log in via the app directly.)

1) Go to https://frontend.letsgolearn.com/login.
2) Students should log in with their usual student credentials.

3) Once logged in, click on “Start” for Math Edge or Eng. Lang. Arts Edge.

4)  Click “Start” when the Welcome box appears.

5) Select your lesson by clicking on the open green square.

7) Click on “Start Lesson App.” Note: You must have the Learning Upgrade app installed at this time.
Please see “How to Get Started” above if you have not installed the app.  The "Start Lesson Web" option is still in beta testing.  Please continue to use the "Start Lesson App" until further notice.

Note: When a student clicks “Start Lesson App,” the browser will automatically push the student into the app. If this is not happening, you may need to disable the pop-up blocker on your device's browser.
On your iPad: Settings>Safari>Block Pop-ups>OFF/ON.

8) Click “Open” when you see the pop-up “Open in Learning Upgrade?
The lesson will now start. If it does not, please refer back to step 7.

To exit the lesson, click the white back arrow on the top left of the screen.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
