Clever and AutoSIS users - How do I move students into my Class?

To populate a class with students already in the LGL System - use the Manage link of your teacher account.

If you have access to multiple sites/schools, be sure you are on the correct site/school before creating your class.

  1. Create a new class on the Class page. For Instructions - Click Here 
  2. Click on the "Manage" link on the top right of the page.
  3. Select "Student Roster".
  4. Click on "Show all Students".
  5. In the Search field, use the student's ID to find the student. If searching by name, enter the first OR last name of the student.
  6. Once you find the student you wish to add to a teacher's roster, click in the box under the "Classes" column.  If there is already a class(es) listed, be sure to click to the right of the class name in the blank area to add the additional class.
  7. On the pull down tab, scroll until you find the class you wish to populate the student.  Click on that class name. 

The student will now show up on your Class page.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
