Question
How do I unenroll or close the Edge V3 course for a student?

Answer

1 - Close Edge Course - You will have this option if students have started using their Edge lessons.

You may also close courses from last year in order to enroll in new fall courses or close courses that have expired (courses expire after 365 days).

  • To close your student's Edge course, click on the "Close" button under the Enroll column.
  • You will get the message "Are you sure you want to close enrollment?"  Click OK to close.
  • Note:  For fixed Edge course customers - once a student starts using an Edge course, it counts against the number of available Edge courses.  If you "close" a course, it does not return to your available Edge course count.

2 - Unenroll Edge Course - You will have this option if students have NOT started using their Edge lessons.

  • To unenroll your student from the course, click on the "Unenroll" button under the Enroll column.
  • You will get the message "Are you sure you want to remove enrollment?" Click OK to unenroll.
  • Note:  For fixed Edge course customers - If you "unenroll" a student, this course will be added back to your count of available Edge courses.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
