ADAM K-7 has five strands covering Numbers & Operations, Measurement, Data Analysis, Geometry, and Algebraic Thinking. The five strands are further broken down into 44 sub-tests, which in turn are broken into individual constructs. Grade-equivalent scores and raw scores are provided for each student on each sub-test. There are three substantive reports currently available for ADAM K-7: Summary, Detailed, and Standards.
Interpreting the ADAM Detail report
On the top right of the report, you will find the student information for the report.
- Report Run - The date you ran this report.
- Last Score Improvement - This refers to the date when the Active Pulse score was updated. This is not necessarily the date of the last assessment. For more information about Active Pulse - Click Here.
- Age & Grade - This is the age and grade of the student when the last ADAM K-7 assessment was completed.
Summary of Scores - Each strand is broken into score ranges by grade and raw score.
- Underlined Green range - grade-range level for score of strands that are at or above grade level
- Underlined Red range - grade-range level for score of strands that are below grade level
- Raw Scores - raw score total based on the results for each strand
- Grade Level - grade-level score for each strand

When viewing the results of each sub-test and individual construct, read the scores from top to bottom. Use the legend to help interpret data.
- A check mark in this box indicates that this particular sub-test was mastered or "on-grade" level. An "X" indicates that this particular sub-test's results were below grade level.
- This section gives you the construct's raw score and grade-level score and indicates whether the construct was or was not tested. You read this section from top to bottom. If a student was tested on an individual construct, there will be a "+" or "-." The "+" indicates that the student mastered the construct. The "-" indicates that the student did not master that construct. "NT" means that the student was not tested. In this example, the first construct given to this student was "Cardinal & Ordinal Numbers." The student mastered five constructs and then did not master the construct "Comma & Place Holder." Since the last mastered construct was "Counting (By Hundreds and Thousands)," this is considered the mastery level for this sub-test and is highlighted in green.
- The double arrow represents the skill to teach first in each sub-test. If the double arrow is red, this indicates priority (below grade level).
- The single arrow represents the next skill(s) to teach in each sub-test. If the single arrow is red, this indicates below grade level.
- This is the instructional goal for this construct.

This is an example of a "below grade sub-test."
