How can I check usage for both the Edge V3 and Assignment lessons?

The Instruction Usage report allows you to view usage from lessons completed through the Edge Course, Assignments, and Lesson Sets.

To view this page, click on the Instruction tab in your teacher account and select Instruction Usage.

On the Instruction Usage page, you can manage your view by using the three options in the filter boxes. The page will change to reflect the selected filter box options.

  1. Subject options: All, ELA, & Math
  2. Limit: Use the custom date range options or your own organization's calendar range (full year, semester, ESY, summer school, etc.)
  3. View usage Administered Through: All, Edge, Assignments, Lesson Set
  4. Edge course Total Time usage
  5. Total number of completed lessons (includes repeated and unique lessons)
  6. Total number of lessons played (includes lessons begun and not completed and completed lessons)
  7. Total number of unique lessons played (includes only brand new lessons that appear for the student; does not include repeated lessons)
  8. Badges achieved by completed lessons assigned via Edge courses ONLY
  9. Info button - view individual student usage details
  10. Download button to download the page in Excel format

To view a student's individual usage, click on the Info button and select Usage Details.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistenciesin this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
