What areas of reading does DORA cover?
DORA Sub-tests

High-Frequency Words (HF) - These are sight words. This is the only timed sub-test. Score Range: 0.50 to 3.83 (Mid-K to High 3rd)

Word Recognition (WR) - Word identification of leveled words. Score Range: 0.50 to 12.83 (Mid-K to High 12th)

Phonics (PH) - Steps through phonics principles. Score Range: 0.17 to 4.83 (Low-K to High 4th)

Phonemic Awareness (PA) - Given to PreK to 2. Above grade 2 given only if low in decoding.
Score Range:

Grades 2 and above:
0-43% = Probable weakness in PA
44-65% = Partial mastery in PA
66+% = Probable effective PA skills
Grades PreK to 1:
0-22% = Probable weakness in PA
23-55% = Partial mastery in PA
56+% = Probable effective PA skills

Spelling (SP) - Assess learner's spelling skills.  Score Range: 0.5 to 12.83 (Mid-K to High 12th)

Vocabulary (VO) - Assess learner's receptive oral vocabulary skills.  Score Range: 0.50 to 12.83 (Mid-K to High 12th)

Comprehension (CO) - Passages are written with low vocabulary in order to test comprehension strategies skills without being pushed downward by test-takers with low academic vocabulary. Score Range: 0.50 to 12.83 (Mid-K to High 12th)

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
