The "DRA1" score is based on the reading comprehension sub-test within DORA. It is a straight look-up.
The "DRA2" uses the comprehension and high-frequency words sub-test scores to calculate the equivalency score.

This equivalency score, whether you choose DRA1 or DRA2, is meant to provide an approximate DRA score that schools can use for placing students at a reading level or for use as a benchmark. It cannot replace the DRA if it was used by the school as a early reading diagnostic measure, since no breakout scores are provided. If schools wish to use DORA as a diagnostic, they need to use the seven sub-tests generated by DORA.
