What is the Pre-Algebra RtI screening report?
 
Now administrators and teachers can run the Let's Go Learn Pre-Algebra RtI screening report after students have completed a DOMA Pre-Algebra assessment. This report is easy to use and will diagnostically place your students into intervention groups. This report can also be customized for districts whose specific pre-algebra interventions already exist.

How to run the report:
  • Click on the Reporting tab and then Teacher.
    Select Response to Intervention report.
    Select PreAlgebra Intervention Screening and click Continue.
    Enter in parameters. Select class and date range for report.
    Select Versions A, B, or C.
    Click Display Report.

Description of the three versions:

Version A:

In this version Basic Math Skills (BMS) is looking at constructs 1 to 3 only: Integer, Fractions, and Decimal Operations.
PreA is the sum of the scores of constructs 4 to 14.  Score range is 0 to 11

Tier # Group Notes
1 Basic Math Skills - General Partial or non-mastery, in two or more constructs out of 3
2 Basic Math Skills - Fractions Only Non-mastery in Fractions. Interger Ops, Decimal Ops, Good!
3 Pre-Algebra Intervention - High Needs BMS is strong. BMS can only be partial-mastery in 1 section out of BMS. Score is 3.5 or less out of 11 in PreA sections.
4 Pre-Algebra Intervention - Medium Needs BMS is strong.  BMS can only be partial-mastery in 1 section out of BMS. Score ranges from 4 to 8 out of 11 in PreA sections.
5 Algrebra Ready BMS is strong.  BMS can only be partial-mastery in 1 section out of BMS. Score ranges from 8.5 to 11 in PreA sections. These students are ready to take an Algebra I course.

Version B:

In this version Basic Math Skills (BMS) is looking at constructs 1 to 3 only: Integer, Fractions, and Decimal Operations.
PreA is the sum of the scores of constructs 4 to 14.  Score range is 0 to 11

Tier # Group Notes
1 Basic Math Skills and PreA Intervention BMS is 2 or lower.  PreA score is 2.5 or lower.
2 Basic Math Skills Focused Intervention BMS is 2 or lower.  PreA score is 3 or higher
3 Pre-Algebra Intervention BMS is very strong.  PreA score is 8 or less.
4 Algrebra Ready BMS is very strong.  PreA score is greater than 8.

Version C:

In this version Basic Math Skills (BMS) is more broadly defined.  It include the first five constructs of DOMA Pre-Algebra:
Integer, Fractions, and Decimal Operations. Plus Comparing & Converting, Estimating & Rounding.
PreA is the sum of the scores of constructs 7 to 14.  Score range is 0 to 8

Tier # Group Notes
1 Math Readiness Course Low BMS or med to high BMS but very low PreA or very low BMS and medium PreA
2 Algebra I with Support Medium BMS and medium PreA or med to low BMS and high PreA
3 Algebra I Ready (lower conf.) High BMS and high PreA (Some gaps exist so have some concerns)
4 Algrebra I Ready Solid BMS and high PreA

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
