Question
Can you provide an overview of the Student Dashboard?

Answer

The Student Dashboard serves as a centralized hub for all essential student information. It's an indispensable tool for managing data, especially for students in need of intervention, those with an IEP, and even storing parent communication. These documents can also be pushed into our AI Assistances so responses are truly student specific

You can access the Student Dashboard by navigating to the "Class" tab and selecting the third icon within the student's profile column.

  • Tabs:The tabs located along the top of the dashboard are fully customizable. While we provide default options to get you started, you have the complete freedom to add tabs that meet your specific needs (e.g., adding a "Progress Monitoring Notes" tab).
  • Overview: The Overview tab highlights the key documents for the student. What constitutes a "key document" is customized entirely by you. Additionally, this feature includes a built-in AI Editing Feature to assist with document creation, providing support for grammar, formatting, and narrative writing. (feature can be found on the far right side when opening a document. The pencil icon next to the students name)
  • All Docs: Provides instant access to every saved document, communication log, and record created for that student. Think of it as the ultimate, searchable digital file cabinet, ensuring you can locate any historical record with a single click.
  • Threads: If your school has enabled the AI package, the Threads tab becomes a powerful resource. This secure history allows educators and support staff to review past interactions, track AI-assisted learning interventions, and maintain continuity of support.
  • Academics: Transforms raw data into actionable insights. This area dynamically highlights the students progress monitoring data, and performance metrics. It provides a visual, real-time picture of academic growth, empowering you to make timely, data-driven instructional decisions.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistenciesin this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
