Question
How do I turn on the Edge V3 Auto Enroll option for my class?

Answer

To turn on the Edge Auto Enroll option for your class, click on Instruction - Edge V3.  Then click on the "Advanced Option" link.

Note:  If you would like to implement Auto-Enroll, please be sure to turn on BEFORE you queue the assessments for your students. If you have queued your assessments, you can also turn it on BEFORE students complete the assessment.

The class Edge Auto Enroll option is also available from this link for schools that have the permission for Auto Enroll turned on.

Math/ELA Auto Enroll

  • ON - Students in this class will automatically be enrolled in Edge upon completion of a comprehensive assessment and can begin lessons immediately.
  • OFF - Students will not automatically be enrolled in Edge upon completion of a comprehensive assessment.  They will need to be manually enrolled by the teacher.

Note: If you do not see this option on your Advanced Option link, then your school does not have this permission available.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistenciesin this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
