Question
How to fix a QR code log in error 403 invalid signature

Answer

If your student is receiving an error code "403 invalid signature" when trying to login with their QR code, this means their QR code is expired.  You will need to regenerate a new QR code for your student and print a new card.

Below are instructions to regenerate QR codes for individual students and/or the whole class.

To Regenerate a new QR code for an individual student.

From your "Class" page, click on "Show Login Info"

Locate the student whose QR code you want to update, then click the QR Code icon   on the right side of the page.

Clicking on the icon will automatically update the QR code.

To print the individual student QR card, simply click the "Print" button as shown below.

To Regenerate new QR codes for the whole class.

From your "Class" page, click on "Print class QR cards

To regenerate QR codes for all students with expired codes at once, click the blue "Regenerate All" button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Once all QR codes are visible, click "Print" to print them out.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistenciesin this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
