Let's Go Learn Knowledge Base
Question
What is Let's Go Learn's data privacy agreement, COPPA privacy, and FERPA compliance policies?

Answer

Attached is an explanation of our FERPA complicance.  In the document is a sample agreement that we will sign with customers.  It contains deails on how student data is stored and destroyed. For larger districts, we will often sign their own custom agreement since many will already have an agreement adopted by their district.

We are fully COPPA compliant.  This is explained in our privacy policy published on our website. But to summarize, we do not allow students to share information, chat with other users, or received outside information from users.  Their information displayed is limited to directory level information such as their first name when logging in.  No private information is available to any student regarding themselves, other students, or teacher or parents who manage their account access.

Data Privacy Agreement (unsigned document)

Here are your options:

  1. Sign the Data Sharing Agreement linked above.  Here is a PDF already signed by us. You can just sign it and email a copy to help@letsgolearn.com
  2. If you are a teacher and are either in the AI Teacher Empowerment trial or you can't easily get permission and want to do a trial, follow these guidelines
    1. Do not enter in last name of student.  Use a first name plus fictious last name.
    2. Do not enter in a real date of birth. Maybe use the correct year but just random month and day.
    3. Do not enter in the student's district student ID. Leave blank
    4. That's it!  Since no PII data is being shared, you are legally compliant
  3. Contact help@letsgolearn.com and request that we complete your districts DPA (Data Privacy Agreement).

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistenciesin this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
