How do I view or print the Student Logins or reset a password(s)?

To protect the privacy of our users and customers and to comply with current student privacy regulations, we have updated the password security in our system. This upgrade will no longer allow us to display student passwords on the Teacher interface.

There are three new options available on the Class page of your teacher account:

  1. Show Login Info - This button will display the student's username and the school code. It also provides a link to print the individual student login QR card.
  2. Regenerate Password - This button takes you to a page to reset and print passwords for your class. Note:  If you do not save/print the login right after resetting the password, you will not be given the option again, unless all the passwords are changed again.
  3. Print Class QR cards - This button will give you the option to print Login QR cards for your class.

This button will display the student's login/username and the school code. There is now a new column--QR code--where you can print the individual student's QR code card.

Regenerate Password

On this page, you can update the passwords for your whole class.

To change the password for an individual student - Click Here. 

STEP ONE - Click on the password format you wish to use.

There are three options:

  • Manual - When the manual format is selected, you can type in the password to use for your students in the password box.
  • Random password - The system will automatically generate random passwords for your students.
  • Initials + DOB(MM/DD/YY) - This format uses the student's first and last initials plus date of birth.  For example: Diane Smith with the date of birth 12/21/2010 would generate the password DS122110.

STEP TWO:  Select the format to print.

STEP THREE:  Click OK to regenerate new passwords for your class.

STEP FOUR:  Click Print.

Print Class QR Cards - Click this button to print the QR cards for your class.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistenciesin this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
